Narrative Uni project: Character development

Hey people. Some character concept art for a university assignment. Its for the short story 'Death Dines Out'. Its set in early 1900's so ive referenced a few actors and actresses from that particular era, plus a few modern day actors. Guess who they are ;). Cheers for looking.

Finished my studio project last night and handed it in today. Pretty happy with how it turned out. Some of it was a rush job, but i guess thats what concept art is all about. Getting the ideas down fast!

Environment final

My final environment concept. Decided to call it quits when i realised i was adding way too much texture.

Majoras Mask sketch

A rough sketch of what i'll be doing for my next painting. Experiment with doing a gothic themed painting with dark colours, loads of texture and metalic paints. Similar to the style of Ayami Kojima's stlye for the Castlevania games.

Scarlett finished

Finished this off today. the colours look a little washed out, but my main focus was to produce a detailed (enough) tonal study that would be appropriate to use when applying colour. I'd spend more time with the colour, but really need to preactice nailing the greyscale right, at the moment.
